Tago-tago, Legazpi City

My recent visit to Legazpi City brought me to this food garden. Tago-tago which translates hiding or hidden in English and might also have gotten its name from its location which is a little far from the city.

But a local insider had different opinion. He said that this food garden was actually a rendezvouz for elicit couples. That's why it was named like that_ a hideaway.

Well, that was very convincing.. considering the landscape of the place which was actually quite quiet.

There were nipa huts where you could choose to be private while enjoying your meal. But hey, we were there to eat and try local dishes of the place, not to intrigue or to get intrigued. Yet, to get it right, I looked around and saw a group or two of foddies in office uniforms and some who were decent looking anyway.

We chose this corner open hut near the fish pond.

On the table :

- fried wild duck
- kalderetang itik
- kilawin tanigue

The verdict :

- delicious food
- a place for group beer night out
