Tastes of Singapore

After enjoying the cable car ride, we alighted at Imbiah Lookout. We were an hour earlier for the Songs of the Sea show and decided to have dinner first at Tastes of Singapore.

The restaurant is spacious and cozy. We chose a corner table with the beautiful garden outside as the back draft. Don't be deceived by the bright daylight. It was actually getting near 7pm. I know, here in our country dinner means already dark night sky. There at Sg, the sun sets so much later.

This resto is in Sentosa. Nothing's cheap in a tourist destination. Although the menu serves familiar hawker's dishes, the place is definitely of higher class and touristy pricey. I noticed most of the customers on other tables were whites.

It was bittersweet that this dinner  was packaged with the ride and the show, cos it was an "eat all you can" and we weren't even that hungry.

we got this huge bowl of noodles, plus another huge bowl of seafood soup, plus another bowl of dimsums. .

two plates of this chicken rice. .

a big plate of fish and chips. .

and we had to finish everything then order another set!!! Are you kidding me?

In the end, we hardly finished each plate. Therefore didn't make it to another set of this "eat all you can". tsk.tsk. We left the table feeling guilty for the wasted food.

Bora Bora Beach Bar

Another beach bar to hang around in Sentosa, Bora Bora is located at Palawan.

Proud to be rumoured with the best "Singapore Sling" in the country, you must try one to confirm about the truth about it ;)

Singapore Sling
- The original recipe used Gin, Cherry Heering, Dom Bénédictine and most importantly fresh Pineapple Juice especially from Sarawak Pineapples as it not only enhances the flavour but also for a nice foamy top. However, as most other recipes used bottled pineapple juice, club soda had to be added for foam.

Samundar Indian Fusion Cuisine & Bar

Samundar is located at Palawan Beach. The menu offers fusion of Indian, South-east Asian, and western cuisines. Beach snacks such as pizza, pasta, fish & chips, grilled chicken chop, BBQ chicken wings are also surprisingly available.

Can I have fish and chips then ?

Kowloon Food Express

Kowloon Food Express is located after the exit of Underwater World.in Sentosa, Singapore.  Just the right place to take a leisure meal and get refresh after the tour under the sea and get re- energize before taking another action with the pink dolphins.

Local and international cuisines are offered here. For a tourist like me, I couldn't resist another plate of chicken noodle.

Cool Deck, Siloso Beach

Another beach bar along Siloso Beach is Cool Deck. Both for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinkers_ you would surely find your glass here. The open island bar serves 20 types of non-alcoholic beverage and 31 types of alcoholic beverage. Home to every Jazz by the Beach series, Cool Deck is a hip and happening place to be in Sentosa.

Coastes, Siloso Beach

One of the beach bars in Sentosa, Singapore  is Coastes which is located at Siloso Beach. I saw lots of whites here, mostly Europeans.

Included in the menu are Italian pasta dishes and pizza.

It's nice to come here with kids at daytime. They love the buffalo wings here.

Kids can have fun in the sand while moms are busy chatting.

Ocean view is gorgeous (as it is all over Sentosa:))

Everything seems fine here at Coastes except for our experience of long waiting service.

Movenpick Ice Cream

While strolling at Sentosa, bestfriend saw her favorite ice cream bar and insisted that I should taste the best Swiss ice cream_ Movenpick.

Movenpick is a top end brand. A scoop costs $5.50-$6.50. Flavors variety ends not in a page.

A chocoholic, I had one with chocolate shavings which heavenly melt in my mouth. The bitter sweetness was just right. Never intimidating. Jay's vanilla was simply divine too.

Perfect ice cream on a sunny beach with a good friend.. a beautiful day indeed in Singapore!
