Roti Prata

Curry mutton with roti prata_ my brother's default choice of dish. whenever caught in the midst of food choices. He love Indian food and has particular penchant for the roti prata.
Roti prata is so boring, it is dependent on strong tasty dishes like those super hot curries. Nonetheless, I actually shared my brother's penchant on this bread. I also love it. .

.. more so on watching how it is being made.

From a tiny handful of dough, the cook went on the process of pulling and stretching. .

until each turned to a square flat bread and with bare hand_ he slapped each on top of a hot flat grill.

Brown, flat and square_ it's now ready to match anything tasty on the table.

Legend of India

Spaghetti, chicken nuggets, krispy kreme doughnuts and choco drink_ _ in an Indian resto???

Prior to our recent weekend getaway, we waited for my daughter Marla (who was having 1/2 day classes then) at Legend of India (Makati) and thought of using our super discounted vouchers. Will share you how I got them at the end part of this post.
We already anticipated the not so pro-kids spicy Indian dishes so we brought along kids' foods.

It was a brunch but we were still full from a sweet breakfast at Krispy Kreme coffee shop so we stuck within our voucher budget which was actually equivalent to P1k meal which we purchased for 60% off the real price.

mutton curry ( the best! meat was so tender and melt-y)

chicken curry ( nothing to rave about, just so so)

pita bread/naan (loveth)

mango yogurt ( uber sweet) drink to combat the spiciness

I was not sure if it was because of our already full tummies before this meal or was serving here were really deceiving. . ?

. . cos husband and daughter even got to share the medium bowls of curries. They just ordered a plate of basmati rice and lunch was done! The chicken curry was even left half full.

As mentioned, here's how I acquired the voucher : it's from Ensogo, Philippines.
