She didn't waste a single minute. She announced that she was going buffet and grabbed sushi from one plate to another. After her 3 plates, only then I had decided on what I would have. I ordered for potato salad. Period.. Brother on the other hand had beef something, another something and fried icecream .It was his birthday that day July 22.

The revolving buffet bar, strategically located side by side the tables was very convenient. One needed not to stand and walk to the table to get food. The food on a revolver paraded and came to you, just grabbed your choice of sushi on to your table.  Sushi plates were color coded. Each color corresponded to a price. The red ones were the most expensive. But if you were availing buffet, you didn't need to get conscious of the coding, ofcorz!!!

For tea drinker, there's a individual hot water dispenser on each table, you didn't have to ask. How nice!

 takoyaki balls

Although beautifully plated, just like all the other dishes, I didn't like the potato salad. But I love the takoyaki balls. meaty and bite-y.

fried ice cream

A pie, omelet? nah! It's an ice cream, wrapped in tempura batter and fried. Very nice. Hot outside and cold inside.

Bento & Mosquito at Kitaro

Brother paid me a visit the other day. After our favorite hangout grocery, we looked for a place to eat in the mall. He didn't want any italian pasta tonight, he preferred chinese or japanese ramen noodles.

#%^&*what shud I eat???

We were at one of the smaller malls in our turf , sans much choices, we both agreed at Kitaro.

I went for my favorite bento of teriyaki chicken. Brother noticed the empty tiniest square. We both thought should have been filled with something.

No, he didn't go for a bowl of ramen soup as what he initially craved for, he saw my teriyaki and went to order himself a bowl of teriyaki beef. He's actually more than anything else_ a meat eater carnivorous.

Things were going fast and easy but I couldn't help but got distracted by flying beings.. which by the minute made their presence so pronounced !

By biting Us!!! Omg!! lots of mosquitoes!! I called the attention of the server regarding the mosquitoes which were really at this point so irritating and destructive. The staff reply was an equally disappointing statement : they couldn't do anything about it as the vampire insects regularly swarm inside the store every night.

Did I miss something? I asked my brother to check the glass door entrance for a poster or something to warn the customers. You know something like : enter at your own risk...

Much that I abhor terminating life of any beings, I got so much itchy and achy bites that pushed me to snap a blood sucking being to rest.

I told my brother that that was enough and time to go. I was not yet done with my bento but no longer I could stand the bitings.

We paid and off we went out. I realized now why we were the only table dining there the other night. I wonder if on daylight they also have biting mosquitoes dining inside.

Tokyo, Tokyo

I confess : I'm not into Japanese cuisine. No matter how extensive my exposure to this particular cuisine had been, still my taste buds deny the fact that sushi, maki, tempura, etc. are delicious, still I hold only two reasons why I enter a Japanese restaurant or a Tokyo, Tokyo fast food chain_1. to accompany friends and 2. I love Japanese resto/fastfood interior art.

So while my friends would order for big plates of sushi, I would settle for small bowl of teriyaki beef rice which is one of the few Japanese dishes I could tolerate. The others are noodles and this

On the table :

tadaahh: ninja wraps with beef teriyaki fillings. You see, I love wraps sandwiches in any variants. Anything in pita or tortilla bread, I enjoy.

Only this one from Tokyo2x is a bit heavy on the bread. It was really filling.

I paired it with a snack size yakisoba and hardly I finished the pair.

The verdict : well, better than Jollibee :))))))
