Laksa-rious Soup

All I want at this rainy morning is a bowl of _ _ _ piping hottie laksa !!!!

So many foreign dishes to try. . so short in time. Finally had laksa during my recent overseas trip. . . at the Changi (SG) airport ?? The soup in a paper bowl, I wonder how far/close it was to the authentic one. Sorry, it's just me. .  airport outlets always come to me as "commercial".

This laksa was packaged with a toasted bread and a cup of coffee?? Hmm, I didn't like the idea of hot soup+hot coffee. I asked the server if I could have a bottled water instead of coffee. They made me add few cents for the alteration.

I had my first (plastic) spoonful of laksa and didn't stop until the bowl was empty!!! Sooo del-i-cious!! I don't know if this was a popular version of laksa, but it gave me a yummy  first impression that for sure would last until I have my second laksa bowl. That was a month ago and so far I haven't any second laksa yet. .not even in the few Singaporean & Malaysian restos here in Manila.
Until then. . this laksa is staying as one of the best soup in my list.

Durian Mpire

Stumbled upon an outlet of Durian Mpire at T3 of Changi Airport. Over and over again, I shout - "I am a duarianholic!!!" For the record, this would be my fourth post on durian. All of which ( here , here and here ) show my addiction to the king of fruit and how often I crave for it but life is unfair_ it's a rare fruit in my city, I hardly get a chance to indulge on it

But in Singapore, everything is available 24/7 in every corner. Lucky citizens!
Durian, durian. .ohh how I love thee. . let me count the ways. .

I love durian as it is_ raw and simply fruit, but I can't deny the fact that I do enjoy it in its so many forms (pastries, ice cream, candy, etc) especially when  I found out more variations of it when I visited the province where it hails in my country_ Davao. I thought I've seen enough of durian's revolution. But here at Durian Mpire _wow! Look - crepe, puff, mousse, mochi , and the cakes !

I could go on the whole day tasting each of them.. but instead, I was happy to have tried  their signature durian cake. Heaven!

Let's Do Lunch

I know_ late posting. It's November already. I've been seeing this promo over the airport website. I thought I would catch it one day. So when I touched down at Changi Airport last month of October , was happy to see this giant Let's Do Lunch poster stood infront me.

At Sg$10 per set meal, my eyes were quick to find out that Sakae Sushi was one of the participating outlets. With minimum $30 spend you get free parking. Hmmm, for sure I won't spend that much over this lunch and why? Who needs parking? Hello, we're tourists here. .we didn't fly a car with us,haha. As for the free shuttle service_ we could use that, why not!

Until brother had to remind me to go check my watch. It was almost 3pm, haha. The promo was only up to 2:30pm. Anyway, we already had lunch inflight! haha.
Me and you_ we better take our luck next time. I think this promo is an annual thing. 'Til then. Chao!
