Swiss Bake

At my friend Jay's home in Singapore, a mouth watering fruit cake awaited me.

Olahlah..!! My sweet tooth was beaming with joy! A cream and mousse cake topped with my favorite fruits in the world!

Jay
had let me cut my slice and oppps_ look=> wasn't it obvious how i loved it! Yummy,.. layers of cream, chocolate, caramel, fruits that were just so lightly right together in a bite.

Nah, my friend is not a kitchen diva, nor she could bake this pretty (sorry Jay:<), but she sure knew where to purchase the best. It's from Swiss Bake cake collections. Swiss Bake, a European bakery and confectionery in Singapore, founded by a Swiss Pastry Chef. Price : $16.50 (300 gr- 4-6 pax)

Singapore Hawkers Food Stalls

Singapore, known for its obsessive cleanliness, is one of the few cities where street foods seem to be safe and worry- free delights.

Hawkers food courts are being frequent not only by the locals but by the foodie tourists as well.

Stalls of Hawkers offer a variety of Singaporean dishes at affordable costs.

Price range would be from S$2 to S$15 per dish. Not bad, especially if you were on a budget like me ;]

Singapore Chicken Rice

If there's one dish in my recent Singapore trip that I had overly feasted upon it would be the chicken rice. There are many variations of Chicken Rice; Hainanese steamed white chicken, soy sauced chicken, roasted chicken, deep-fried chicken, the list goes on.

To describe it simply_ it's fillet of chicken meat on top of a cup of rice.

Not much of a rice eater, on my next chicken rice grapple, I went for the noodle option which was to replace the rice portion.

After the first day of chicken, I thrived to duck rice/noodle on the next Singapore days.

Chicken Rice is unofficially voted the Singapore National Dish; the other dishes up for the poll were Chilli Crab, Char Kway Teow, Laksa among others.

The prices range from S$5 to S$15, depends on the place where you savor this favorite dish.
